Marines throughout the ages have been known for their distinctive uniforms, both duty and formal dress. Although tempered within starfleet regulations, Marines still have unique uniforms for work, war and formal occassions.

Due to the immense numbers of specialized work dress uniforms there are, this page will only highlight the standard duty and dress uniforms. Combat dress will follow soon, and later, duty specific uniforms.

The Starfleet Marine Corps dress uniform is not that much different from the Starfleet Naval uniforms, but bare essentially two striking differences. One is in the obvious green colour change. The other is that all Marine personnel wear essentially the same dress uniform.

Note that there is no split between junior and senior officer colours, like there is in Starfleet Naval, although Generals do wear rank on both sides of the collar. This helps reflect the simple fact that a Marine is a Marine, and that all are part of a single Marine Corps family. (Besides, Marines are smart enough to see the rank to know the difference =)

There is a minor difference between the officer and NCO dress uniforms. On the officer dress, there is a gold trim around the shoulders, down the inner sides of the outer white tunic jacket, and down the sides of the slacks. On an NCO dress uniform, this is changed from gold to green, but the outer look is the same.

The Starfleet Marine Corps general duty uniform is also not that much different from their equivalant Starfleet Naval uniforms. All Marines wear green, as opposed to specific departmental colours for the Navy.

There is also currently no alternate dress for flag officers, further re-enforcing the ideal that everyone is a Marine. Enlisted duty uniforms are identical as well, save for their rank insignia.
