Welcome to the website of the USS Chimera NCC 96899-C, a Play-By-E-Mail (PBeM) RPG based on Star Trek, created by Gene Roddenberry. The Chimera is the second ship of the Century Class line of vessels and the fourth to bear the name Chimera. The simulation is based twenty years after Star Trek: Nemesis in the early 25th Century, and is under the command of Game Master Captain Cropa Rojac (rojac) and Deputy Game Master Erassian Major Scott Walters (ixus). The Chimera is the flagship of Starfleet Special Forces' (SSF) 1st Task Force. She operates out of Starbase Unity (SB 234) located in the Aeran System on the border of Federation space. Unity orbits Aeran III and serves as the base of SSF's 1st Task Force, hosting the 1st Task Force fleet staff. Combining state of the art technology with one of the finest crews in Starfleet, the Chimera serves to protect the Federation and to boldly go where no one has gone before.
The simulation is a member of the UCIP Simming Group's Independent Simming Division (ISD). The UCIP is a sim organisation hosting a variety of simming genres, specialising in Star Trek sims. For over ten years UCIP has provided Star Trek fans with fun and enjoyable simulations. More than just a simming group, the UCIP offers its members access to such features as the UCIP Database, the UCIP Academy and a strong online IRC presence.
Please have a look around our website and you will find information about the crew and the Chimera as well as Starbase Unity and the rest of our In-Character (IC) Universe. We invite you to join us on IRC on the KDFS server (irc.kdfs.net) where you can chat with any of the crew that are online in the #USS-Chimera channel. We are here to have fun in shared experiences, so if you would like to join us and become a Starfleet officer, sign up today!

Please join me in congratulating the following members in the presentation of the after-plot OOC awards.
Rear Admiral Shane Guzman - Atlas Cross for Service
Mumacik has served a a trusted advisor since I took command of the Chimera almost two years ago. As past commander, his advice carried considerable clout and wisdom and was always greatly appreciated. This award is given in appreciation of his support and encouragement. Muma will always have a spot on this simulation.
Thank you, Muma.
Major General Richard Sharpe - Star Cross for Merit
This award is given to Frankie for the countless hours he has spent developing and maintaining this website, and for putting up with the "pain-in-the-ass" that is myself. Kudos. (This does not however mean that he is now exempt from this subjugation).
Commander Rick Rodgers - Star Cross for Merit
This award is given to Butch in appreciation of the many NPCs he plays in this little simulation. They add depth and color to this simulation, as well as vital background. Plus, its great to have more conduits from which to experience his exceptional writing skills.
Thanks Butch!
Marine Captain Jade Reese - Bronze Meal for Service
This medal is awarded to Marine Captain Reese in recognition for her long term of service as Chief Operations Officer aboard the USS Chimera NCC 96899-C.
These members are only a few of the exemplary crew we serve with everyday. If you feel that neglected anyone in these OOC award, feel free to log in to our website and nominate anyone you see fit for an award. If we agree, we'll correct our oversight immediately.
Remember, these are only the OOC awards. Any IC awards will be handled in character through logs.

Give thanks to Cortez for getting the new skin designed by Bren operational. It looks great. Now you can see both Starbase UNITY and our beautiful ship in action on our website. Thank you very much, both of you.
ALSO, welcome our newest ATac aboard the Chimera, Josiah Smiddy. He has two weeks to observe the simm and put together a full bio. After that we're throwing him into the flames. Say hello, welcome him into the group and then get writing.
That is all. I think...
